The extension replaces scroll behavior with both mouse wheel and cursor key into fully customizable natural smooth one. we have a solution for IE users at last. AboutThis extension is for customizing scrolling behavior over all. With this, you can configure stride length of scroll with one wheel spinning, a smoothness of scroll behavior and a sensitivity of wheel spinning speed affects a length of stride. Besides, you can separately design parameters for cursor keys. Try It OutThis is a simple and small extension and you even don't need installation to try it. It is said that Firefox3 have regression with rendering performance on some page with specific design. The rendering performance directly affect smooth scrolling animation. If you notice degrade of controlability on some sites,s note it is not caused by this extension.
These may help you understand this issue further.
Bug 90198
Bug 201307
(Jun.4.2009) Here comes Firefox 3.5. And performance problem caused by a set of resized images and any fixed positioned layer is fixed.
This fix may be a remedy for many cases especially for cases with extensions that creates a fixed positioned layer for showing its status or function shortcuts on it.
but Firefox still have a performance weakness on resized image renderring itself. I am looking forward to Cairo's support for OpenGL for
higher performance.
- There is some sites having body{overflow:auto} in its stylesheet (ex. www.calcalist.co.il). Firefox reports the page unscrollable.
To avoid this problem, put body{overflow:visible !important} in your userContent.css and override this meaningless description.
- While with some Microsoft mouse and touchpad, wheel tilt and slide on the pad for horizontal scroll makes vertical scroll with YASS.
Sorry but, on add-on code, currently I have no idea to find any deference out between virtical scroll event and horizontal scroll event.
(Bug 378028) (EDIT Dec.12.2008) It seems to be fixed on Firefox ver.3.1 that will be released on near future.
